Plastic Surgery on Man-the double standard.

this is an extension of my entries on sgclub.com

Plastic surgery has always been such an amazing things for me. I haven’t got any, but it always fascinate me. As one of my acquaintance call it-An option for customizations.

When it waas first introduce to the public, it was such a taboo to discuss it. those who done it will be so secretive about it.

As of today, Plastic surgery has help many women and men alike. Recronstructive plastic surgery has help many people whose facial featured were severed in accident or by birth defect to live a better life. And for some women, cosmetic surgery can help them overcome problems such as Low self esteem.

For the ladies, when a lady colleagues came back to work after her two weeks leave with a brand new nose and a plumpier pucker, some of you are more than likely gonna be jelous of her and starts to wonder, “Where she gets that??”.

But say, two months after your break-up with your boyfriends, you spot him with a brand new girls.. And oh, his cheekbone grew an inch higher and his chin suddenly loo like Tom Cruise’s chin. Chances are, he is gonna be labelled as Homosex, faggot and many other possible labels.

So what’s with the double standard? Maybe it wasn’t man who goes under the knife when plastic surgery was first practiced around 4000 years ago, or when the Indian practice reconstructive surgery at around 800 BC. But, during the World War 1, plastic surgery were done to soldiers(which of course male) whose face and bodies were severred during battle, and this brings to the modernisations and improvements in Reconstructive and Cosmetic surgery.

Plastic surgery are for anyone, be it male or female. Therefore, leave the Stigma and prejudice behind.. Your boyfriend’s once broken nose now look unbelieveably perfect? Yur brother’s cheekbone suddenly look oh-so-perfect??

just accept it. Chances are, they doing it merely to keep up with your newly tuned lips.
